Founder, CEO, Seattle Chapter Director

Anbini Ganesh
Anbini is currently a senior at Lakeside School in Seattle. She is a writer, baker, photographer, and entrepreneur who has been awarded four regional Scholastic Awards for her writing and photography and has been published eight times in Lakeside’s Literary and Art Magazine, IMAGO. Additionally, Anbini is the published author of Unworthy (available on barnesandnoble.com), a poetry book written with the hope of providing insight into the minds of her generation. As the CEO and Founder of the national charitable organization, Love and Sweet Bakery, Anbini assists diverse communities through meal donations to homeless shelters, online sales, and fundraisers with the help of her multicultural, multireligious team. As she is passionate about raising awareness on issues of mental health, her organization conducts fundraisers that specifically donate to mental health-related organizations, such as Teen Link and NEDA. Love and Sweet Bakery has 13 chapters to date across the United States, and is a 2023 Riley's Way Call For Kindness Grant Winner/Fellow.
Furthermore, Anbini is an Executive Board Member of Peer Responders and an Ambassador at Recovery Meet-ups, two teen-oriented mental health organizations that train and help heal students in crisis. As a year-round rower and health-focused chef and baker, Anbini takes an interest in nutritional well-being and writes monthly articles focused on nutritional science for the TEENHEALTHNOW newsletter, an online organization focused on the fitness and well-being of teenagers. For the future, Anbini is interested in studying psychology but wants to start by following her heart in social entrepreneurship.
San Diego Chapter Director
Gillian Johnson
Gillian is a junior at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace in San Diego. Gillian had the opportunity of connecting with Anbini Ganesh, founder of Love and Sweet Bakery, through the Riley’s Way kindness retreat for leaders and was inspired to join Anbini in helping to grow L&S Bakery to a national nonprofit group! Gillian can remember being glued to the Food Network channel, watching Cupcake Wars since she was a little girl, and entering in her school’s baking competition every year since then. Gillian has experimented with special allergen friendly baking since elementary school and hopes to bring gluten-free and vegan treats to the L&S Bakery repertoire. As a social entrepreneur, and founder of Recovery Meet-Ups, Gillian is thrilled to support L&S Bakery and her San Diego community through sweet treats and lots of love!
NW Indiana Chapter Director
Ava Adam
Ava is the leader of the Northwest Indiana Chapter for L&S Bakery. She is a sophomore at Munster High School and participates in several culture clubs, as well as Athletic Training and Student Government. After playing softball for 7 years, Ava has decided to focus on volunteering, as well as picking up new hobbies. She has newly become interested in reading, cooking, and most importantly - baking. She hopes to incorporate Latin and Caribbean inspirations into her food, as well as familiarize herself with more flavors. Through this experience, Ava hopes to learn more about baking, organizing, and donating to those in need. She hopes to have a great time creating new desserts!
NW Arkansas Chapter Director
Riley Smith
Riley Smith is a junior at Haas Hall Academy Bentonville. She learned about Love and Sweet Bakery through attending the National Academy of Future Physicians and loved the objective of the nonprofit. Riley has been baking for as long as she can remember, although “baking” as a child was more like licking the beaters of whatever her mom made. Since then, she has progressed to more complex treats, such as macarons and cheesecake. Using the skills she has acquired from owning her own small business, Riley plans to serve her community through hard work and dedication. She feels so fortunate to be able to combine her two passions, baking and service, and is very excited to lead her chapter in helping the Northwest Arkansas community.
Illinois Chapter Director
Vasiliki Kanellos
Vasiliki is a senior at New Trier Township High School. Her Greek culture has introduced her to numerous delicious recipes that she has baked ever since her childhood, and she loves sharing her goods with others! Watching humorous baking competitions such as Nailed It! and Is It Cake? with friends is one of her favorite pastimes and a great source of stress relief. Vasiliki is excited about the opportunity to share her love of Greek desserts with the Chicago community that has provided her with so much, so when she encountered L & S she knew she had to jump on the team!
Minnesota Chapter Director
Emma Augustyn
Hi! I’m a junior at Holy Family Catholic high school and I learned about Love and Sweet Bakery through The Academy Of Future Physicians! At my school I’m involved in lots of extracurriculars, such as cross country, track, student council and honors society, which encourages service. I believe that becoming part of Love and Sweet Bakery is an amazing opportunity for me to combine lots of my interests, like baking, faith, and service. Baking has been a passion for me since I was a kid. Most of my first creations were more like science experiments, but over time I have really learned how to bake fun delicious treats. I also love to watch baking shows! My all-time favorites are Nailed it and The Great British Baking Show.
